Halle Bailey has expressed her displeasure with ex-boyfriend DDG after he featured their 11-month-old son, Halo, on a Twitch livestream without her consent. This incident occurred on November 6 when DDG appeared with Halo on a livestream hosted by YouTuber Kai Cenat. Halle, who was out of town at the time, took to X to voice her frustration, writing, "Hi everyone. just so you know I am out of town and I don't approve of my baby being on a stream tonight." She continued, "I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people."
Halle emphasized her role as Halo’s protector, stating, "I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn't notified especially when I am out of town." She further explained, "As a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. Nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap." The post, however, drew mixed reactions online, with some accusing her of hypocrisy since she frequently shares photos of her son on her social media.
Despite the backlash, some defended Halle, noting the difference between planned, private social media posts and the exposure of Halo during an hours-long livestream. However, amid the conflicting responses, Halle deleted her tweets and deactivated her social media accounts. DDG has not publicly commented on Halle's tweet, but before her account deactivation, he wrote on his own X account, "Man this dad sh*t so cool. Make sure y’all take care of y’all kids."
Halle and DDG's relationship, which began in 2022, ended in October 2024. Following their split, DDG shared a statement on Instagram expressing mutual respect, saying, "Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true," and affirmed that they would remain "best friends" and focus on co-parenting.
Halle has been open about her desire for privacy regarding her family, notably keeping her pregnancy and Halo’s birth largely private.
