Offset is putting his heartbreak into music. The rapper is preparing to release his new solo album _Kiari_ later this month, and its closing track, “Move On,” is a personal reflection on the end of his marriage to Cardi B.

Speaking to the Associated Press, Offset explained the meaning behind the song. “It’s about moving on, like, peacefully. That’s what the message is supposed to be,” he said. “It’s all love and peace. I just ended the album with that, just to end that chapter because it’s time to move on — it’s over and done with. It was great while it lasted. That shouldn’t be the topic for either one of us no more. It’s a book that’s closed.”

The track arrives after a rocky chapter in his personal life. Cardi filed for divorce from the former Migos star in July 2024, marking the second time the couple has gone through legal separation. She had first filed back in 2020 before the two reconciled and welcomed another child. Together, they share three kids: Kulture, 7, Wave, 3, and baby Blossom, who is 11 months old.

Offset says his goal now is to move forward. “Because it’s like, just move on. It’s over and done with,” he explained, noting that he wanted the album to end with closure. Fans will hear the song when _Kiari_ drops on August 22.While Offset has been keeping his message focused on peace, Cardi has been more outspoken about her frustrations. During a May livestream on X, she lashed out at him over his request for spousal support, saying, “I want you to die, but I want you to die f--king slow, n---a.” She also revealed that she dropped her request for child support to speed up the process, saying that Offset was not allowed to see her kids.

Cardi has since been linked to NFL player Stefon Diggs, going public with their relationship in June. On the career side, she is gearing up to release her highly anticipated second album, _Am I the Drama?_, on September 19.
