The 57-year-old filmmaker is selling his 24,592-square-foot mansion after recently revealing plans to relocate to Puerto Rico early next year. The nine-bedroom, 15-bathroom property previously served as a temporary home for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in 2020 as they transitioned away from their senior royal roles. The couple later purchased their own home in Montecito.
The Mediterranean-style estate sits on 22.5 gated acres and includes multiple balconies and terraces overlooking the surrounding canyons. According to The Wall Street Journal, Perry purchased the property for $4.3 million in 2004 and completed construction of the mansion in 2012.
Santiago Arana and Griffin Riddle of The Agency are representing the property.
Inside, the home features an extensive collection of luxury amenities. The upper level includes a 24-seat home theater, bar, entertainment lounge and game room. Other spaces include a music hall, wine storage room and a gym equipped with a steam shower.
The primary suite offers a fireplace, attached deck, sitting room and walk-in closets. Its spa-inspired bathroom also includes dedicated massage and salon rooms, according to the listing.
Outside, the property features a large swimming pool surrounded by generous areas for lounge seating. The estate also has six garage and parking spaces, along with a separate one-bedroom guesthouse and staff quarters.
Perry's Beverly Hills property is one of several notable residences he owns. The Wall Street Journal reports that he also has a large home near Atlanta, close to the 330-acre studio complex he built for Tyler Perry Studios. He also owns a private island in the Bahamas.
In June, Perry listed his home in Jackson, Wyoming, for $39.5 million.
The Beverly Hills listing comes shortly after Perry announced that he plans to move to Puerto Rico with his 11-year-old son, Aman, whom he shares with former girlfriend Gelila Bekele.
During an interview on Today with Jenna & Sheinelle on Sept. 14, Perry confirmed the move and said he plans to reduce his workload.
When asked whether he intended to slow down professionally, Perry said he was moving to Puerto Rico at the beginning of the year and was "pulling back a whole lot."
Perry explained that getting older had changed his perspective and strengthened his desire to slow down, spend more time with his son and enjoy life at a different pace.
"It's time to slow down a bit, enjoy more time with my son and just take it all in," he said.
