Cardi B set off speculation over the weekend when she quietly removed every photo featuring her rumored boyfriend, NFL star Stefon Diggs, from her Instagram. The deletion came just weeks after the couple went public with their relationship and mere months into Cardi’s ongoing divorce proceedings with her ex-husband, Offset.
Fans began noticing the change late Saturday: images from yacht outings, romantic Paris getaways, and other affectionate moments had vanished, leaving Cardi’s feed completely free of Diggs. Notably, Diggs’s own Instagram still contains posts featuring Cardi, adding a striking contrast to Cardi’s sudden clean-sweep.
Following the deletion, Cardi posted a brief message on her Instagram Story that simply read, “sooo tired,” accompanied by a look of visible weariness. The post, lacking any context or explanation, only fueled further buzz and theories around their relationship status.
Rumors of tension had already been simmering. Over Memorial Day weekend, the couple enjoyed an intimate boat ride, complete with teddy bears and roses, therefore, lovely moments that hinted at a deep bond. More dramatically, Diggs reportedly rented the Château de Farcheville, a historic French castle, for a romantic weekend, at an estimated cost of $12,000 per night. Cardi celebrated the gesture on her Story, marveling at the grandeur of the castle and her partner’s thoughtfulness.
Yet, just as suddenly, all of that public affection disappeared from her grid. To some fans, the timing seems suspiciously aligned with the roll-out of Cardi’s new album, Am I the Drama?, due to drop in September. The abrupt social media wipe, paired with the cryptic “sooo tired,” has led some to speculate that Cardi is orchestrating a calculated marketing strategy: a temporary social-media hiatus to build intrigue and redirect attention to her music.
Offset, Cardi’s ex, added a sharp twist to the drama. He appeared on Instagram Live soon after the deletion and delivered a cryptic remark: “You can’t get rid of me. I’m like cancer.” Though he didn’t name Cardi directly, many viewed his message as a direct reaction to the social-media purge and possibly an attempt at interjecting himself into the public narrative.
With both Cardi and Diggs still following each other on Instagram and Diggs not deleting any shared photos, it’s clear that something more nuanced may be unfolding, whether it’s a subtle breakup, a temporary cooling-off period, or simply a strategic pause.
