Brandy and Monica are officially reuniting for their first-ever co-headlining arena tour, and it’s a moment R&B fans have waited over two decades for. The powerhouse vocalists have announced “The Boy Is Mine” tour—named after their legendary 1998 duet—which will feature special guests Kelly Rowland, Muni Long, and “American Idol” winner Jamal Roberts.
The 24-city tour will kick off on October 16 in Cincinnati and make major stops across the U.S., including Atlanta, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles, before wrapping up in Houston on December 7. The announcement comes as both Brandy and Monica continue to honor their enduring legacy while stepping into a new era of collaboration.
“The Boy Is Mine” single was a cultural phenomenon, dominating the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks in 1998 and becoming a defining anthem of late-‘90s R&B. While Brandy and Monica’s professional relationship has seen ups and downs over the years, they’ve joined forces on multiple occasions since their debut collaboration. Notably, they reunited in 2012 for “It All Belongs to Me” and again in 2024 with Ariana Grande’s remix of “The Boy Is Mine,” which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
“This really is a full-circle moment,” Brandy shared in a statement. “Monica and I coming together again isn’t just about the music—it’s about honoring where we came from and how far we’ve both come. ‘The Boy Is Mine’ was a defining chapter in R&B, and to share the stage all these years later is bigger than a reunion—it’s a celebration of growth, sisterhood, and the love our fans have given us from day one.”
Monica echoed the sentiment, saying, “The love that ‘The Boy Is Mine’ continues to receive means everything to me. This tour is a celebration of our history, our impact, and the fans who have grown with us. Brandy and I have been on our own unique journeys, and coming back together in this way is a reminder of the power of respect, strength, and real music. We’re giving the people what they’ve been asking for, and doing it with grace, love, and purpose. God’s timing perfectly aligned us.”
Presale tickets for The Boy Is Mine tour will be available starting June 26 from 10 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. local time. General ticket sales open June 27 at 10 a.m. local time.
