Rapper Coi Leray, expecting her first child with fellow rapper Trippie Redd gave her fans a glimpse into motherhood in a new exclusive interview with the ShadeRoom. When asked about the first person she told she was pregnant, Coi reveals it was the father of her child.
“When I found out I was pregnant, I was feeling sick, and I missed my period, so I had took a pregnancy test – I was excited,” she said. “I’m getting older now, and I think Gods time is always on time. The first person I told was the father of my child. It was a great moment we shared, and it was exciting.”
When Leray revealed her child’s name, fans were left in awe and tried to find out the meaning behind it. Leray reveals that Miyoco, her child’s name, means beautiful child. She claims the name comes from a friend’s sister’s name and after falling in love with the name, she loved it even more after discovering the meaning behind it. Coi also reveals that the name includes letters from her name and Trippie’s name. Rapper Trippie Redd’s first name, being Michael and her first name being Coi.
Coi reveals that she was a “big” weed (marijuana) smoke and had to cut down on weed and alcohol after she found out she was pregnant. “ I’m 100% sober. Before I was pregnant, I was such a big weed head, smoke a lot of weed, I would even just drink and since I’ve been pregnant, I’ve been sober, and my mind is so much clear,” she revealed. She claims being sober has really made her learn to dig inside who she really is as a person rather than depending on alcohol.
When asked about her support system, the “bling bling” rapper fondly spoke about her relationship with her mother and spoke on the qualities she would like to install in her daughter.
