In a shocking interview with DJ Akademiks released March 31, 2025, Kanye West made startling claims about his family with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. Wearing an all-black Ku Klux Klan outfit complete with the hate group's infamous pointed hood, West admitted he "didn't want to have children" with Kardashian "after the first two months of being with them."

The controversial interview quickly escalated when Akademiks, 33, said, "When you speak about Kim, people might be like, 'Well, you picked her. You put yourself in that.'" West replied acknowledging fault: "Absolutely, I did. That was my fault. No, that was my fault."

West then made the surprising admission about his reluctance to start a family with the Skims co-founder. "I didn't want to have children with this person after the first two months of being with them, but that wasn't God's plan," stated the 47-year-old Grammy winner.

This latest controversy follows a recent dispute between the former couple over their daughter North's potential collaboration with Sean "Diddy" Combs, who currently faces sex trafficking charges. Kardashian attempted legal intervention to prevent the song's release.

"Kim's priority is the well-being and safety of her children and to protect them from being around Kanye's controversial behavior," a source told Page Six. Despite Kardashian's efforts, West released the track on social media anyway.

West subsequently accused Kardashian and her family of restricting his parenting rights, writing on social media: "ALL THESE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME BY THE KARDASHIAN MOB HULU AND DISNEY AND THE BIGGER AGENDA."

Mental health experts have expressed concern about the impact of such public disputes. Dr. Steven Dillon noted, "Children of parents with bipolar disorder have an increased risk of developing mental health conditions themselves," highlighting the importance of stability.

Kardashian reportedly cut short North's recent visit with her father after learning Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan would be present. Both Tates face rape and human trafficking charges in their ongoing legal battles.

The former couple, who share daughters North (11) and Chicago (7), and sons Saint (9) and Psalm (5), were married from 2014 to 2022. Sources indicate Kardashian is now considering modifying their custody agreement in response to recent events.

Public reaction has been overwhelmingly critical of West's comments and appearance. Lauren Johnson commented online: "If there was ever any proof needed that he has completely lost touch with reality, I think we have it now. Family court judges, I hope you're listening."
