Jonathan Majors reveals that therapy has helped him navigate and deal with his past traumas. The actor claims he was assaulted by both men and women from when he was 9 years old. “I dealt with sexual abuse from both men and women from the time I was 9,” said Majors. “From people who are supposed to look after you, in the absence of a father. I was f***ed up.”
According to People, he recently shared the abuse he went through with his mother, who eventually apologized for not protecting him. He claims that he assured her that it wasn’t about blame, but about healing and growth within their family. “I’m like, ‘It’s not even an issue, mom. I just want you to know,’ “ he said of their conversation. “And now we can all get busy and continue to connect and grow and learn from it, because it’s something that was in our family.”
Majors acting career took an abrupt halt after he was arrested following an altercation with his ex – girlfriend , Grace Jabbari. In his 2023 trial, Majors was also found guilty of misdemeanor assault in the third degree with intent to cause physical injury and misdemeanor aggravated harassment in the second degree.
Majors was fired by Marvel Studios immediately after a jury reached the verdict in his trial. Jabbari, his ex-girlfriend, dropped a separate civil lawsuit she had filed against Majors in November 2024. Majors told The Hollywood Reporter he is “unable to comment directly” on Jabbari’s domestic violence allegations.
Reflecting on his past arrest and childhood trauma, Majors claims therapy has played a huge role in him understanding his behavior in relationships. “There are no excuses,” he actress, Meagan Good. They started dating in 2023 and got engaged in Novembersaid, “but getting help allows you to understand yourself.” Majors is currently dating 2024.
