A$AP Relli has broken his silence following A$AP Rocky’s not guilty verdict, making it clear that he is unaffected by public criticism. Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, was acquitted of two felony assault charges after being accused of shooting at Relli during a heated altercation in Hollywood in November 2021. Relli, a former associate of Rocky, claimed that a bullet grazed his hand during the incident.
Despite being the prosecution’s key witness, Relli’s credibility was questioned in court. Defense attorney Joe Tacopina used video and audio evidence to challenge his statements, exposing inconsistencies in his testimony. Text messages presented in court suggested that Relli was more interested in financial compensation than seeking criminal justice.
Following the verdict, Relli took to Instagram Stories on February 20 to address the backlash. "Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life, hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me," he wrote. "I don’t care. Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life."
Since the ruling, Relli has faced online criticism, with many labeling him a "rat" and a "snitch." He has been heavily criticized across social media platforms, with people accusing him of trying to bring Rocky down. Radio personality Charlamagne Tha God even named him "Donkey of the Day" on _The Breakfast Club_, intensifying the backlash.
Meanwhile, some are calling for legal action against Relli, pushing for the district attorney to charge him with perjury after his testimony failed to convince the jury. However, he has remained silent on the matter and appears unbothered by the situation.
A$AP Rocky, on the other hand, expressed gratitude for the verdict, telling reporters outside the courthouse that the jury had made "the right decision."
