Rihanna has never been one to shy away from the spotlight, but at A$AP Rocky’s ongoing assault trial, she’s making her presence known in a different way—through unwavering support.
On February 13, as the court heard closing statements in Rocky’s legal battle, Rihanna arrived at the Los Angeles courthouse with their two young sons, RZA and Riot Rose. Dressed in a sleek leather coat and knee-high white boots, she carried RZA in her arms while another family
member held Riot.
Inside the courtroom, reporters noted Rihanna quietly shushing her children as prosecutors made their final arguments. It was a rare moment of public vulnerability for the superstar, who has mostly stayed out of the spotlight during the trial.
A$AP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers) is facing two felony charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The charges stem from a 2021 altercation in which his former friend and collaborator, A$AP Relli, accused him of pulling a gun and firing at him. Rocky has pleaded not guilty, maintaining that the allegations are false.
While Rihanna hasn’t attended every day of the trial, she has shown up on key dates, making it clear where her loyalty lies. On January 29, she was spotted arriving at the courthouse in an all-black ensemble, standing by her partner of five years.
Despite the legal turmoil, Rihanna has remained fiercely devoted to Rocky. The couple, who started dating in 2020, welcomed their first son, RZA, in 2022 and their second, Riot Rose, in 2023.
“They bring purpose to every aspect of my life,” Rihanna said in a past interview. “Motherhood, wifehood-ish—I love it.”
Rocky has echoed similar sentiments, revealing in an interview that he had always felt Rihanna was "the one."
As the trial nears its conclusion, one thing is clear: Rihanna is standing by Rocky, no matter what the verdict may be.
