Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, gave a stunning winter fashion performance on February 10, 2025 at the Invictus Games in Whistler, BC. Thereby alongside her husband, Prince Harry, she faced the cold weather in a chic look that combined form and function with style.
Meghan wore a cream-colored Calina maxi coat by Mackage (sleek design, eco-friendly fabric), Mackage. The coat has drawstrings in black across the storm visor (Adjustable) and the company logo on the right shoulder, and are priced at $1,250.
As an accessory to her outer wear, she also wore black quilted gloves from Moncler in partnership with Reusch, made of leather on the palm and tip of fingers and selling for $680. Her footwear choice was the Sorel Joan of Arctic boots in black, known for their blend of style and practicality in winter conditions. A dark coloured beanie finished her outfit allowing a warm look for her après-ski outfit.
The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry in 2014, is an international multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans. This year’s event in Vancouver and Whistler marked the debut of winter sports, including skeleton—a sport Prince Harry tried during the “One Year to Go” celebration in 2024, with Meghan capturing the moment on her phone.
At the Whistler Welcome Celebration, Prince Harry pulled Meghan to come on stage, jokingly telling the crowd, “She’s about to give us a show! The pair hugged each other tightly, expressing the strong bond they have together during the Games.
In addition to her chic winter attire, Meghan also wore a black and burgundy Givenchy coat during the event, a piece she previously wore during their 2018 Australian tour. This coat holds sentimental value, as it was during that tour that the couple announced they were expecting their first child.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been busy with athletes and attendees, attending a range of events including wheelchair basketball and curling. Ongoing attendance and assistance underline the significance of the Invictus Games and also exemplify the resilience of its competitors.
Meghan’s wardrobe throughout the Games has been another point of interest for people, with publications such as Page Six devoting features on her outfits, from cashmere cardigans to a $3,000 Hermès puffer.
As the 2025 Invictus Games continue, Meghan Markle’s blend of style and substance remains a highlight, reflecting her commitment to supporting the military community while showcasing her distinctive fashion sense.
