West didn't stop there. He lashed out at celebrities who, in his view, have remained silent about Diddy’s incarceration, writing, "OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY SH*T." He also posted a video on Instagram showing himself on a FaceTime call with Diddy's son, Christian Combs.
The social media outburst has drawn widespread backlash, particularly given the serious nature of the allegations against Diddy. The Bad Boy Records founder is being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, as he awaits trial. Authorities have accused him of running an organized operation involving illegal activities, and multiple lawsuits have been filed against him.
Despite the mounting allegations, West has continued to show his support for Diddy. He recently followed him on Instagram—one of only two people he follows, the other being his wife, Bianca Censori.
Social media users have criticized West’s defense of Diddy, with many pointing to the severity of the charges. Some have also noted West’s history of controversial statements, which have led to previous backlash, including losing his Adidas sneaker deal in 2022.
Ye’s support for Diddy comes as the disgraced mogul faces increasing legal pressure. In addition to the federal charges, multiple individuals have accused him of sexual assault, drugging, and physical abuse. One recent lawsuit alleges that an unnamed male rapper was drugged and assaulted by Diddy in 2015.
Despite the serious accusations, West remains firm in his support, referring to Diddy as his "idol" and "hero." However, with the weight of the legal system against Diddy, it remains to be seen whether West’s campaign will have any impact Diddy’s trial is scheduled to begin in May.
