Former talk show host Wendy Williams has sparked controversy with her bold statements regarding Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal troubles. During a revealing interview on The Breakfast Club, Wendy predicted a grim future for the music mogul. "Diddy will go to prison for life, people," she stated unequivocally, adding, "You don’t know the things that I know about Diddy back in the day."
Combs was arrested in New York City in September 2024 on federal charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty, maintaining that all his relationships were consensual, but he remains in custody after being denied bail.
Wendy, 60, did not hold back in her assessment, remarking, “It’s about time, people. Diddy done.” She recalled her own history with the mogul, claiming that in 1998, he played a role in her firing from HOT 97 radio, a move she documented in her 2004 memoir The Wendy Williams Experience. “The hell he put me through. I will never forget,” she wrote, though she clarified, “But I don’t hate him.”
The resurfacing of a 2015 Wendy Williams Show clip further underscored her concerns about Diddy’s alleged controlling behavior. During the episode, Wendy discussed his then-relationship with singer Cassie Ventura, noting how dating a mogul could foster paranoia. “He’s a mogul! Like, he can hire a plane right now, zoom it to South Africa, land on the roof of the hotel where she’s staying, pay people off at the front desk, ‘Give me the key and let me up in her room,’” she said.
Cassie, now 38, sued Combs in November 2023 for rape and abuse, reaching a settlement within 24 hours. The pair had a tumultuous relationship from 2007 to 2018, and Wendy called their history a “full-circle moment” in her life.
Despite her outspoken nature, Wendy admitted to feeling isolated in her personal struggles, likening her New York living situation to a “prison.” She denied being “cognitively impaired” and insisted she’s fully aware of her surroundings.
Diddy’s legal team has yet to comment on the allegations or Wendy’s remarks.
