Kayla Nicole and Travis Kelce's split is still being processed. The model revealed that she is still in shock over her and Travis' 2022 split, more than a year after the Kansas City Chiefs player and Taylor Swift made their romance widely known.
In a Special Forces preview that was released on November 27, Kayla described going through a public breakup while crying. "It's been overwhelming."
When contestant Alana Blanchard later asks Kayla who her ex is, she mumbles "Travis Kelce."
Given the intense devotion of her fan base, Kayla has previously expressed how hard it has been to watch her ex move on with the "Karma" singer.
“I would be lying if I said that that level of hate and just online chaos doesn’t impact me,” Kayla acknowledged during an Unapologetically Angel podcast episode in October. "If you look at my most recent post, you'll see people arguing about why I'm useless and how I'll never be talented."
However, Kayla knows that the online criticism has nothing to do with her personally, even though she occasionally feels overpowered by the hateful remarks.
Regarding her ex's rapid ascent to fame, Kayla speculated, "I think there's something about that level of fame that attracts crazy people." "And I've never done anything to deserve that kind of backlash, so it's unfortunate."
Although Kayla has had to take the brunt of Travis' sudden rise to fame due to his relationship with Taylor—even unfollowing his teammates Patrick and Brittany Mahomes in order to "protect" herself—she is not the only one who has talked about the difficulties.
In actuality, Travis' family has expressed their thoughts on taking center stage, including his brother Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie Kelce, as well as his parents Donna and Ed Kelce.
In June, Jason, who has Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, Bennett, 22, and a fourth child on the way with Kylie, said on the Whiskey Ginger podcast, "It's been crazy." Another aspect of it is that Travis and Taylor have elevated it to a new level. When Kylie and I go hang out with one of them, we realize that we're in a completely different situation. At that point, you cannot be a normal person.
Meanwhile, Travis insists that everything is going great for him.
"It's the life I chose,” he told CBS Mornings in September. "I have fun with it. It comes with the territory.”
