During a recent Instagram live session, Halle Bailey opened up to her fans by sharing more intimate details of her pregnancy with them. She revealed her sister, Chloe was the first person she informed of her pregnancy, however, Chloe did not believe her at first.
“So, funny story, Chlöe was the first person that I called,” the “Little Mermaid” actress said as she rocked the 8-month-old baby Halo to sleep. “I had to go to the airport right away, and I picked up my phone and I called Chlöe. I think [she] was like, ‘No way.’ I think she didn’t believe me,” Bailey said.
“I was so excited because, you know, he’s like my baby as well. I just really, really love him. He just makes me so happy; I can’t explain it. I was just ecstatic from day one, to be honest,” Chlöe added. The duo went on to reveal how their family always Joked and suspected Halle would be married and have kids first. They also talked about how happy they are to have Halo in their lives.
Chlöe revealed in an interview with PEOPLE that her sister's pregnancy was the “best kept secret.” She said, “I keep all her other secrets, so this was just another one in the books.” She talked about how she would encourage Halle to take a break from social media.
In a recent cover story for Hellobeautiful, Chlöe Bailey revealed she's not in a hurry to start a family, especially with Halo around. “Sometimes, we get pressured by society. I just turned 26, and sometimes they’re like, ‘You have to settle down and have kids and do that,’” she explained. “But I’m like, I can have a little bit more time because I have the best nephew in the world, and it’s like I get [the] best of both worlds.”
