Travis Hunter, one of the rising stars of the NFL, has begun a new chapter in his life off the field. The 22-year-old athlete and his wife, Leanna Lenee, announced through a heartfelt YouTube vlog that they recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy, just months after their wedding.
The video, titled Dear Son, opened with Leanna revealing a positive pregnancy test, followed by joyful moments of the couple celebrating the news. Later clips documented their journey, from viewing the baby’s sonogram to sharing predictions about the child’s gender. Leanna, 23,
recalled a dream in which she envisioned a baby boy with curly hair, a detail she proudly shared before their doctor confirmed her intuition was correct.
The emotional film concluded with Leanna in labor, supported by Hunter, before the sound of their newborn’s cries filled the screen, confirming his arrival. In a tender moment, Hunter addressed his son with a promise: “Gotta be better than me.”
Hunter, who began his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected in the first round of the NFL draft, is already seen as one of the sport’s most promising talents. Yet, his role as a father is now poised to define him just as much as his on-field achievements. The couple, who first began dating in 2022, tied the knot in May 2025 during an intimate ceremony. Their relationship has quickly blossomed into a partnership marked by both ambition and shared joy.
In a touching message shared on Instagram alongside her wedding photos, Leanna expressed her gratitude and excitement for their future together. “You make me the happiest woman on this planet and I am so excited to spend forever with you,” she wrote.
His new role as a father adds a deeper dimension to a career already watched with anticipation. To his fans and teammates, Hunter is a rising star, but to his newborn son, he will always be something greater: a role model at home.
