A league source confirmed to IndyStar on Thursday that Wilson will be eligible to play in the decisive matchup in Las Vegas.
The incident occurred Tuesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with about four minutes remaining in the game. Wilson had drawn a foul on Fever forward Sophie Cunningham near the 3-point line when a fan sitting near the baseline stood up, pointed toward Wilson and yelled at her.
Wilson walked toward the fan before teammates and team security intervened and separated the two. Aces forward Cheyenne Parker-Tyus also identified the fan as security escorted him and another person from the arena.
WNBA rules state that players can be ejected if they leave the court and deliberately enter the stands. However, officials determined that Wilson did not leave the court area during the confrontation. According to the league source, she was in the player escape lane beside the basket stanchion, meaning the incident did not meet the criteria for an ejection.
Wilson was instead assessed a technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct. Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell missed the resulting technical free throw.
After the game, Wilson defended her reaction, saying she would not accept a fan stepping toward her and pointing at her. She also apologized to her teammates for receiving the technical foul.
The fan was initially escorted from the arena, but the Fever later said the team had spoken with him and witnesses and determined that he had not violated the arena's fan code of conduct. He was allowed to return to his baseline seat and remained there for the rest of the game without further incident.
The interaction drew attention because it was the second incident involving an Aces player and a fan at Gainbridge Fieldhouse this season. During a regular-season game on Aug. 6, Aces guard Jackie Young also had a courtside fan removed from the arena.
The Fever said that fan was also determined not to have violated the team's code of conduct, although the person ultimately chose to leave.
With Wilson cleared to play, the Aces will have their star center available for Game 3 as they face the Fever in the deciding playoff matchup.
