Concerns about the singer's health emerged after his St. Louis performance. While performing his final song, "All Night Long," Richie reportedly asked his team to bring him a chair. Despite the incident, he completed the show.
The hospitalization comes after Richie experienced another health scare earlier this summer. During the opening night of his current tour in June, the singer cut his performance short after becoming dizzy onstage.
According to the Minnesota Star Tribune, Richie told the audience he was feeling dizzy and joked about performing "Dancing on the Ceiling" while seated. He later postponed two shows so he could rest and return to full health.
Richie returned to the stage on June 30 and reassured fans about his condition. He joked with the audience about the concern surrounding his health and thanked them for their support.
In July, the music icon also shared an update on Instagram, telling fans that he was "doing well" and expressing gratitude for the messages and kind words he had received.
