A$AP Rocky is setting the record straight about the viral clip of him and Rihanna after the 2026 Met Gala.
Appearing on The Jason Lee Show on August 5, the rapper addressed speculation that he and Rihanna were caught in a tense exchange inside a sprinter van following the fashion event.
"We was just talking," he said. "I don't know what we was talking about, but we was talking. Even if we was arguing, it's just like, why the f--- are they so nosy?" Rocky added that he didn't recall any argument that night, insisting the pair were simply "exhausted" after the gala.
"I don't think we had an argument that night," he added, "I would've remembered that."
The video, which showed the couple sitting across from each other and speaking seriously, quickly spread online, sparking rumors about their relationship. Fans even attempted to analyze their body language.
But Rocky dismissed the speculation, reminding people that he and Rihanna are human. "We have arguments. We have disagreements. Life be lifing. S--t real. We got kids together," he explained.
Rocky also spoke about Rihanna's unwavering support throughout his life, long before their friendship turned romantic in 2019. "Every time I'm at my lowest and darkest place, rather if we just friends platonically or we in a couple relationship, she always f---in' there for me," he said.
He recalled how she stood by him after his father's death, emphasizing that her presence has never been about fame or accolades. "This don't got nothing to do with her accolades or her money. The truth of the matter is, when my dad died, she was there for me."
The pair first went public with their romance in 2020, though they had been close friends for years. Since then, they've become one of the most talked-about couples in entertainment.
