Lewis Hamilton and Kim Kardashian have taken their romance public in a big way. The 41-year-old Formula 1 champion shared a carousel of photos and videos on Instagram on July 16, marking the first time he has openly confirmed their relationship.
The post featured Hamilton and Kardashian enjoying a lakeside getaway. In one clip, the pair laughed as they hugged on a boat before tumbling into the water together. Another photo showed Hamilton with his arm around Kardashian as she wore a hoodie from his lifestyle brand, +44.
He captioned the post simply: "Hold your people close." Kardashian responded with a red heart emoji, while Kris Jenner also "liked" the post.
The couple has been spotted together at several high-profile events since ringing in the New Year at Kate Hudson's Aspen party. They've since appeared at the Super Bowl, Coachella, Malibu, Tokyo, and Lake Powell.
Kardashian even shared her own post earlier in the week, writing, "Summers at the lake with my favorite people," alongside a selfie with Hamilton and her daughter Chicago.
Sources say Hamilton has already spent time with Kardashian's children, who reportedly think he's "really cool" because of his racing career.
The pair's friendship goes back years — they once double-dated with Nicole Scherzinger and Kanye West at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2014, and Hamilton later joined West's family for Easter in 2015.
The timing of Hamilton's post coincided with a difficult moment for Kardashian's family. Just hours earlier, Kris Jenner announced the death of her mother, Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon, at age 91. Kardashian followed with her own heartfelt tribute, calling MJ her "best friend, gossip buddy, and forever twin."
