The children of Lil Wayne and Kanye West have linked up for a new track — bringing together two legendary legacies.

Lil Novi and North West have released their collaborative single "Mula The Root of All Evil"

Produced by VRTN and released on Friday (June 5), the high-profile pairing between the 16-year-old son of Lil Wayne and daughter of the artist formerly known as Kanye West was put together remotely, with each artist recording from a separate studio.

The collab grew out of an unexpected TikTok connection. North, who previously produced "Justswagup" for Novi, had used a song by the rapper's friend on the platform, which opened a line of communication between the two.

"It was really both of our ideas, for real. We just ended up communicating and stuff, and we were just down to do a song."

The concept behind the title draws from Novi's own worldview. "It's like if they say money's the root of all evil, and I'm a demon," he explained. "I get all the money type of shit. I say my relationship with money is very great."

Elsewhere in the same interview, Novi spoke on a title that both he and North have been called: "Nepo baby." Novi explained that he refuses to let that word define him. "I don't really be thinking too hard on it," he said. "I'm used to it. I just look at them as regular parents.."

"Mula the Root of All Evil" is North's latest splash in the music industry following her performance at Rolling Loud last month with the rapidly ascending Molly Santana.

Santana brought out North, who released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, on May 1, during her performance and surprised the crowd. The two then performed an unreleased collaboration.
