The delicate truce between Khloé Kardashian and her former husband, Lamar Odom, has disintegrated into a public war of words. In a candid episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, released on April 16, 2026, the reality star expressed deep frustration over Odom’s recent Netflix documentary, Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom, accusing him of using her to bolster his narrative while privately disparaging their marriage. The core of Kardashian’s anger centers on claims made within the project suggesting that Odom’s decision to marry her in 2009 was a strategic “power move” designed to secure fame and Kardashian-level clout. During the podcast, Kardashian revealed that she agreed to participate in the documentary solely as a favor to Odom, who personally requested her involvement. Despite the emotional toll of reliving their “traumatic” past, Kardashian noted she was “not paid one penny” for her interview, which Netflix producers reportedly claimed was essential to complete the film.

“You’re asking me to be in your documentary and behind the scenes, you and your friends are all saying you were with me just for fame? That’s some f–ked up s–t. I feel so dumb,” Kardashian told her listeners. She specifically pushed back against the “insane” allegation that Odom married her for notoriety, noting that the former NBA star had spent years publicly praising their relationship before shifting his story for the cameras.

The tension escalated further during Odom’s promotional tour for the documentary. During an April 6 appearance on the TODAY show, Odom reportedly downplayed Kardashian’s pivotal role in his recovery following his near-fatal 2015 overdose at a Nevada brothel. At the time, Kardashian famously paused their divorce proceedings to act as his medical advocate, staying by his side for months during his  rehabilitation.

“Now Lamar is doing press annoyed with me, insinuating that I’m a liar and discrediting me,” Kardashian said. “You’re not now gonna s–t on me
and play in my face because you don’t like the reaction and the response
from the public.”

While a representative for Odom told E! News that his recent comments were a result of contractual obligations rather than personal animosity, Kardashian appears finished with the association. Declaring that she has no editorial control over the film and no desire to revisit the history again, she stated firmly: “I’m never going to do another Lamar thing again… it’s finished.”
