A fresh twist has emerged in the ongoing issues surrounding the estate of late pop icon Michael Jackson.
Reports say his children may not be fully aligned, as Paris Jackson is now at the center of a disagreement with the estate’s executors.
According to court filings, executors John Branca and John McClain claimed that an agreement had already been reached involving Paris and her brothers — Prince Jackson and Bigi Jackson (formerly known as Blanket), Daily Mail reported.
However, they alleged that Paris later pulled out of the deal just before it was finalised.
The executors said the agreement was largely facilitated through Bigi’s legal team, who they believed represented all three siblings at the time.
But things reportedly changed when Paris’ side reversed course and introduced new demands that were said to be significantly different from what had earlier been agreed.
The dispute is said to centre around financial oversight, particularly how payments and bonuses to lawyers handling the estate are approved.
Paris reportedly pushed for stricter transparency, including court approval for certain payments.
A source close to her, however, pushed back on the executors’ claims, alleging she has been targeted unfairly for simply demanding accountability over the family’s finances.
The source also stated that there was never a final agreement in place as suggested.
The development has now drawn attention, as Bigi is said to be playing a role in trying to reach a middle ground between both sides.
