Teyana Taylor refused to let anything mar her Oscar night. After being assaulted by a security guard, the Best Supporting Actress nominee explained what transpired.

Everything is fine... In an interview with TMZ on March 15, the One Battle After Another actress stated, I don't think anyone was trying to stop my shine. Everyone is having a nice time, and security is doing a lot. There's always that one, but I'm okay. I'm pleased.

The first thing people do is make assumptions, Teyana went on, but at the end of the day, I just don't tolerate disrespect, especially when it is unwarranted and it's unprovoked.

A witness informed E! News that the incident occurred inside the Dolby Theatre when security approached Teyana as she sought to get on stage with Warner Bros. co-head Pamela Abdy for a group photo.

In a social media video, Teyana addressed the guard, who she claims assaulted her You're a man putting your hands on a female; you're very rude. According to E! News, the cop was subsequently relocated from his post inside the cinema.

Fortunately, the rest of the March 15 event was not a series of battles for Teyana, 35, who won a Golden Globe this season. Despite losing her category to Amy Madigan, Teyana was overjoyed to celebrate the 75-year-old's first Oscar triumph, springing out of her seat to applaud the Weapons actress.

Later, when Paul Thomas Anderson won Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture for One Battle After Another, Teyana was his biggest fan—even if she did humorously pull him in for a headlock on the way to the stage. He already knew the headlock was coming, Teyana told Variety at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty. We took it back to Critics Choice, and I told him, Listen, if you win Best Picture, I'm going to get you a helmet.Because I am an avid sports fan. I say Yeah!
