Megan Thee Stallion is hinting at a future proposal. In a new video, the rapper shared that she’s “manifesting” an engagement, telling a group of Olympic athletes in Milan that she hopes a ring is in her near future.
The clip, posted on her YouTube channel on Monday, Feb. 23, is part of her Winter Olympics video series. In it, Megan went to a café with speed skater Brittany Bowe, hockey captain Hilary Knight — who recently got engaged to Bowe — and Laila Edwards. While chatting with the athletes, she complimented Knight and Bowe, saying, “I heard y’all just got engaged, congrats! I love love, that’s so sweet.” After watching a video of Knight’s proposal earlier this month, Megan smiled, crossed her fingers, and added, “Manifesting my engagement, too.”
Megan has been dating NBA star Klay Thompson since before July of last year. The couple first sparked romance rumors with subtle Instagram posts before making their red carpet debut as a couple. Since then, they have shared their relationship openly, with Megan posting videos of their dates and dropping her single “Lover Girl” in November, which reached No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In a pre-Valentine’s Day interview with People, Megan reflected on finding love with Thompson at a time when she wasn’t expecting it. “I didn’t even know I was going to be in my relationship, to be honest,” she said. She added that being in a better mental space and doing personal healing allowed her to be open to a partner who truly loves her. “Maybe God just opened up that space for me to have somebody that loved me right. This is one of the first times that I’ve ever been just overly comfortable.”Photo
