Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny has officially reclaimed the title of the Most-Streamed Artist globally on Spotify for 2025, according to the streaming giant’s annual Spotify Wrapped campaign released on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The reggaetón artist dethroned Taylor Swift, who had held the coveted top spot for the previous two consecutive years (2023 and 2024).

This monumental achievement marks the fourth time Bad Bunny has been crowned the platform’s top global artist, having previously dominated the charts for three years in a row from 2020 through 2022. According to Spotify data, Bad Bunny accumulated over 19.8 billion streams throughout the year. His sustained popularity across the globe shows the massive and growing international appetite for Spanish-language music and global genres.

Contributing significantly to his success was his highly anticipated studio album, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS (I Should Have Taken More Photos), which was also named the Most-Streamed Album globally for 2025. The record’s success demonstrates the strong, year-long engagement from his dedicated fanbase. This album notably marked a stylistic shift for the artist, leaning more heavily into rock, trap, and various Latin sub-genres while still retaining his signature reggaetón flair, proving his ability to evolve and maintain massive commercial appeal across different musical palettes.

The announcement positions Bad Bunny at the top of the Global Top Artists list, followed by Taylor Swift in the second spot. The rest of the top five was rounded out by The Weeknd, Drake and Billie Eilish. The victory cements Bad Bunny’s place as a generational icon and a streaming phenomenon, making him the first artist in Spotify history to claim the top spot four times.

In celebration of the milestone, Spotify is launching a global film and a series of fan experiences in major cities like San Juan, Paris, and Mexico City, designed to highlight the worldwide cultural impact of his music and Puerto Rico’s vibrant sound.
