Kim Kardashian is embracing her independence and taking a step back from romance. Nearly five years after her divorce from Kanye “Ye” West, the reality star revealed that dating has become “less appealing” as she grows more comfortable on her own.
In the November 13 episode of _The Kardashians_, the 45-year-old business mogul opened up about her evolving outlook on love. During a confessional, she shared, “You get really comfortable the longer you’re single. The thought of sharing a bed or your TV shows with someone else becomes less and less appealing because you get set in your ways.”
The conversation unfolded during a heartfelt chat with her _All’s Fair_ co-star Sarah Paulson, who observed that Kim often seems to be in “protective mode.” Paulson encouraged her to let her guard down and allow herself to experience “the great romance” she deserves.
Kim acknowledged that her cautious nature stems from past experiences and her role as a mother to her four children — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. “I know Sarah feels like I have put up this wall to overprotect myself so that I just maybe don’t open up to love,” Kim admitted. “But it’s OK to close down a bit and focus on the things that I want in life.”
The SKIMS founder explained that being single for an extended period has made her value her peace and routine. From watching her favorite shows to having her own space, she said she’s grown used to doing things her way — and isn’t in a hurry to change that.
Still, Kim insists that she hasn’t given up on love completely. “I’m the biggest hopeless romantic,” she said. “When the right person comes along, I’ll be so ready and everything will be fine.”
For now, Kim seems content prioritizing her children, her career, and the comfort of solitude while leaving room for the possibility of love in the future.
