Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing another legal battle after a man, identified only as John Doe, filed a lawsuit accusing the music mogul of negligence in connection with an alleged sexual assault. The former intern claims he was drugged and raped at an after- party hosted by Diddy, later discovering he had contracted HIV as a result of the assault. The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, adds to the growing number of legal challenges surrounding the rap icon.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred in late 2014 after a music video shoot in Val Verde, near Los Angeles. Doe states that he was invited to the after-party by members of Diddy’s entourage. He describes the event as filled with alcohol and drugs, including cocaine and marijuana, though he insists he only consumed a few drinks. Shortly after, he began feeling disoriented and eventually blacked out. When he regained consciousness, he says he realized he had been sexually assaulted.

The plaintiff does not accuse Diddy himself of committing the assault but claims it occurred under his supervision and at an event organized by his team. Doe says that when he awoke, he felt pain and noticed bleeding, prompting him to seek medical attention. Initial tests for sexually transmitted infections reportedly came back negative. However, months later, he was retested and informed he had contracted HIV, which he believes resulted from the assault that night.

In his lawsuit, Doe alleges that the incident left him with lasting physical and emotional trauma. He is seeking damages for sexual assault, negligence, emotional distress, and other related claims. His attorneys argue that Diddy, as the host and employer, failed to ensure the safety of guests and staff during the event.

Diddy’s legal team has strongly denied the allegations, calling them false and part of a broader campaign to damage his reputation. His representatives insist that he had no knowledge of any such incident and that the lawsuit is another in a series of opportunistic claims against him. They have stated that Diddy looks forward to clearing his name in court and reaffirming his innocence.
