After feeling a little bit sick in November 2024, the Love Is Blind star recently had a terrifying medical scare. He talked openly about it and said he now regrets not treating the situation seriously at first.

In a video uploaded to his Instagram page on January 16, Kwame, 34, disclosed that he had been experiencing fevers for almost three weeks by the time he finally visited the physicians in December. The doctor concluded that there could be a number of reasons for my 20-pound weight loss, and cancer was one of them.

Thankfully, the reality star, who wed Chelsea Griffin in the Netflix series season four finale, was found to have ulcerative colitis, a chronic illness that causes inflammation and ulcers in the colorectal area, instead of cancer. Kwame discussed the lessons he learned from the experience after going through the sickness at its absolute worst at the time.

A brief reminder that life is extremely valuable, he said. Until I was unable to continue doing the things I did on a daily basis, I didn't realize how important they were to me.

Kwame then stressed that small things can lead to big problems if we ignore them, advising viewers to avoid making the same error he did. He also underlined how critical it is to comprehend one's symptoms.

He went on to say, Information is everything. If you want to fight it, you must know what it is.

Kwame thanked his wife of two years and his well-wishers as he concluded his statement.

He said, I'm going to end this with a lot of gratitude. Thanks for Chelsea—who supported and helped me throughout this—and for the fact that I feel like myself again. I am also grateful to everyone who sent love and support.
