Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs arrest has left his seven children in a state of crisis and shock. The 54-year-old rapper was arrested on September 16, 2024, and charged with serious offenses including sex trafficking and racketeering. Despite pleading not guilty, Combs has been denied bail twice and remains behind bars.
According to sources close to the family, the children are struggling to cope with the sudden upheaval. “It’s heartbreaking to see the children in the state they’re in,” a source told People. “This is their father. But to them, he’s not Diddy – he’s Dad. He has always been a loving, devoted father.”
Combs has three sons: Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, and Christian, 26, and four daughters: Chance, 18, twins Jessie and D’Lila, 17, and Love, 23 months. The rapper has been able to make brief phone calls to his family from jail, expressing his concern for their well-being. “He is very concerned about his kids and their well-being,” the source added. “He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent available with him incarcerated. Four of his seven children have neither parent available with him incarcerated.”
The situation is particularly dire for Combs’ younger children. Combs shared Christian and his twin daughters with actor and model Kim Porter, who passed away in 2018. Quincy is Porter’s first child, whom Combs later adopted. Justin is the son of Combs and stylist Misa Hylton, while Chance is the daughter of Sarah Chapman. His youngest daughter, Love, was born to Dana Tran in October 2022.
His son Christian was present at the arraignment, seen reading a copy of the 14-page indictment against his father. When the judge ruled that Combs would be held without bail, the rapper turned to his family and placed his hand on his heart, a gesture that spoke volumes about his
concern for them.
In the words of a close family friend, “The kids are in shock. They are trying to process everything that’s happening. It’s a lot for anyone to handle, let alone children who have already been through so much.”
