The Romanian gymnast thought back on her experience participating in the 2024 Olympics, when she was moved to fourth place after Team USA star Jordan Chiles' performance was reevaluated after briefly taking home the bronze medal on the floor.

Ana posted a video of herself competing in the women's gymnastics floor final on her Instagram Stories on August 5th. She captioned the post, "Thank you to everyone who encouraged me before, during, and after the competition."

She also reposted a story by retired Olympian Sandra Izbasa-Bianca in which she commended the nation's gymnastics squad for their dedication.

"I hear more vividly than ever the words that the coaches repeated to us almost daily in the training room," she wrote in the language of Romania. "As Romanians, you have to be flawless to avoid any space for interpretations! And it demonstrates itself here once more! Heads up, girls, and straight backs! Maintain your dream-like beliefs! Romania, go!"

Ana finished the tournament with a 13.700 in the floor final, earning her bronze. But Jordan's routine was raised to 13.766 when a scoring inquiry was made since her last-minute addition of a tour jeté full to the original score of 13.600 was missed.

Ana, 18, was waving the Romanian flag when the historic event happened. She then turned to face the scoreboard and sobbed as one of her coaches consoled her, realizing that she would not be sharing the winners' podium with gold medalist Rebeca Andrade and silver medalist Simone
Biles.
