Actors Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey are taking the name of their Pantalones Organic Tequila brand literally - by stripping off theirpants for a quirky new ad campaign. The couple, who launched the tequilaline in October, have now filmed several promotional spots that feature them frolicking around without any leg coverings.

In the latest ad released this week, the McConaugheys are seen playing a game of croquet on a lush green lawn while completely pantless. Camila,41, rocks a white button-down shirt as a dress, while her husband Matthew, 53, sports a navy blue blazer without anything on his lower half.

"Some people are born with pants, and some people aren't," Matthew says in a mock-serious tone to open the 30-second clip, which was shared onthe brand's Instagram page. As the couple whacks croquet balls around, Camila jokes: "We were just having a nice, civilized game and your ball knocked my ball right off the course!"

The Oscar-winner then breaks the fourth wall, staring directly into the camera with his trademark sly grin as he delivers the tagline: "Life's too short for anything else but Pantalones Tequila."

As Vanity Fair notes, this is far from the first time the McConaugheys have stripped down to promote their "pantless" tequila. In one of the initial launch videos, "the couple pranced around their Texasranch...with Camila sporting a crisp white shirt and knee-high boots and McConaughey going full commando."

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Camila explained the cheeky concept: "If you look at the word 'pantalones,' it's kind of a funny word for a tequila brand, right? So we said, 'What if we don't wear any?'" She added with a laugh: "Because pants weren't involved in the creation of this tequila!"

Matthew offered a similar tongue-in-cheek justification in his own interview with Mindy Kaling on her YouTube show: "We did have our pantalones on when we started the company, that's for sure. But then once the pictures started being taken, we just kind of went, 'You know what, let's go ahead and free the pantalones.'"

The pantsless advertisement strategy certainly grabs attention, even if some critics have accused it of being a gimmick. As Eileen Reslen wrote
for Page Six, "Call it cheeky or contrived, at least the couple is confident and having fun with the campaign."

Whether you find the ads clever or cringeworthy, one thing is clear - Camila and Matthew McConaughey are fully committed to the pantless lifestyle when it comes to promoting their Pantalones Tequila. As the brand's website playfully declares: "You'll never look at pants the same way again."
