Soulja Boy and Metro Boomin’s beef stemmed back to when Metro tweeted, “ My phone rings to come be in the studio with Jeezy. Yours rings to send Soulja Boy a pack of beats. Sit down!” Back in 2012. After Soulja found the tweet, he told Metro to delete it within 24 hours and 21 savage came to Metro’s defence. Soulja also went ahead to share private conversations of Metro trying to send him some beats.
On this year’s mother’s day, Soulja Boy took to Twitter to wish Metro Boomin a happy mother’s day. According to TMZ, Metro Boomin’s mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne was killed by her husband, Metro’s stepfather before committing suicide. Fans were outraged because Soulja spoke on Metro’s dead mother on Mother’s day concerning a tweet Metro tweeted about 12 years ago. Soulja went ahead to accuse Metro of sacrificing her own mother, claiming that it was not worth it because all the streams, sales, money and fame will not bring his mother back. He also tweeted, “ Dig that nigga mama up and throw her back in that bitch.” He also went on a rant claiming that the whole rap game is fake.
British rapper 21 savage came to Metro’s defence again. “ Speaking on a nigga mama like shit a game you gone shit on yourself when l see you boy,” 21 wrote on Twitter. Soulja replied saying that he cannot be scared of a man from the Great Britain. Rapper Meek Mill also defended Metro Boomin on Twitter(X). “Soulja if you say you’re gonna smoke somebody and they see you and actually smoke you it’s self defence... Y’all losing touch of reality for some likes and clout is insane, “ He wrote. Soulja replied by asking him about his rumoured sexual relationship with Diddy. Metro Boomin is yet to respond to Soulja.
