Danity Kane’s D. Woods sat down with Eva Pilgrim to speak about her interactions with the disgraced music mogul, Sean Diddy Combs while still in the group. Diddy is currently facing federal criminal charges for sex trafficking and racketeering, which he has denied.

The 41 year old singer, a former member of the girl group Danity Kane, whom Combs helped form in 2005 on MTV’s Making the Band, told the outlet that she had “troubling interactions” with the music mogul as he helped to progress and later dismantle her professional career.

In an exclusive interview with ABC news, D. Woods alleged the rapper would constantly verbally abuse and degrade her and she found herself in a lot of uncomfortable situations. She alleged that during her time in the group, she felt like Diddy was constantly treating them like sexual objects. She talks about how the rapper would verbally abuse them the turn and shower them with praise.

“He did it in different ways with all of us, you know, picking and prodding and just a way to chip and knock away, but then praise you,” she said. “He’s constantly treating you like a piece of meat. Only valuing you for your sex appeal. And some of the environments, you know, it was even scary to be by yourself.”

D. Woods, who was featured in an upcoming documentary “The fall of Diddy” claims that she saw herself standing in “dark, scary, predatory spaces”, further explaining how uncomfortable the environment around Diddy was. Diddy went on to fire D. Woods and Aubrey O’Day from the group and it was all captured on their Television. Then, after being fired, D. Woods claimed she witnessed inappropriate interactions between Diddy and O’Day prior to their firing.

When asked about why she was silent about the abuse, Woods says she chose now to speak up because she knows she will be fully heard as opposed to years prior where she feared she wouldn’t be believed or would be retaliated against for speaking her truth.
