Hollywood A-lister actors Jonathan Majors, 35, and Meagan Good, 43, announced their engagement at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in Los Angeles on November 17, 2024, precisely where their relationship first blossomed two years earlier.

The couple's journey has been anything but conventional. Their relationship emerged against a backdrop of significant personal and legal challenges, particularly surrounding Majors' assault trial in December 2023, where he was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment. Despite widespread skepticism, Good remained steadfastly supportive.

"He wanted to protect me," Good revealed in an exclusive interview, highlighting the depth of their connection. Her stance reflects a profound commitment, stating she grew up in an industry that taught her to "love other people, regardless."

Their connection originated unexpectedly—in a unisex bathroom at the EBONY Power 100 event, a detail they playfully shared while announcing their engagement. Majors described their moment as "a season of joy," with Good adding it's "a season of all the good things."

The engagement follows Good's divorce from pastor DeVon Franklin in June 2022 and comes after Majors' legal challenges. In April 2024, he was sentenced to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program, a period during which Good remained consistently supportive.

Friends and industry observers initially expressed concerns. Good candidly shared that "every friend advised" her against pursuing the
relationship. However, her intuition and personal belief system guided her decision.

"I can always look myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God," Good explained, revealing the profound personal conviction underlying their relationship.
