Another lawsuit has been filed against Sean "Diddy" Combs in U.S. District Court in Northern California. This latest legal action comes amid an expanding series of allegations that have reshaped the narrative around the music industry figure. The federal case emerges as Combs faces criminal charges from September 2024, where he pleaded not guilty to federal trafficking and racketeering charges. According to court records, he remains in custody in Brooklyn after two separate judges denied bail requests.

The legal timeline traces back to November 2023, when singer Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura initiated civil proceedings against Combs. While that case reached a swift settlement, it sparked a wave of subsequent legal actions. Doug Wigdor, representing multiple plaintiffs, reported that a dedicated hotline received over 12,000 calls within 24 hours of its establishment.

"These swirling allegations have created a hysterical media circus," stated Combs' legal team in a recent court motion seeking to name accusers. They emphasized that several previous claims "have already been discredited but only after irreparably damaging Mr. Combs' character and reputation."

The upcoming criminal trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025, as confirmed during an October 10 court hearing. Combs' mother and children attended the proceedings, with family representatives stating they remain "united in their support."

Financial implications have surfaced, with reports indicating Combs faces approximately $100 million in mortgages on properties in Los Angeles and Miami. His legal team continues to maintain his innocence, with representatives stating they have "full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process."
