R&B icon Usher has claimed that his X account was hacked, leading to the deletion of all his posts. This incident has generated significant buzz, particularly due to its timing following the arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
On September 22, 2024, Usher addressed the situation on his X account, stating, “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! See you tonight at Intuit Dome.” This statement followed the mysterious deletion of his account, leading many to speculate that the singer was trying to distance himself from the controversy linked to Diddy's recent legal troubles.
The timing of Usher’s account being wiped clean raised eyebrows among fans and followers. Many people turned to social media to voice their skepticism. One user commented, “What?? Lol, timing is JUST a coincidence huh?” while another added, “Ain’t nobody believing this.” The skepticism was further fueled by the fact that Usher’s account was not the only one affected; Pink’s X account was also stripped of its posts around the same time.
Despite the speculation, Usher has not been accused of any criminal conduct in relation to Diddy’s case. His relationship with Diddy, however, has been a topic of discussion. Usher was discovered and developed by Diddy in the 90s and 00s, and he even lived with Diddy for a year after signing a record deal with LA Reid. In a resurfaced interview from 2004, Usher spoke about his time living with Diddy, saying, “Sex is so hot in the industry, man. There was always girls around. You’d open a door and see somebody doing it, or several people in a room having an orgy. You never knew what was going to happen.”
Usher’s recent statement about his account being hacked seems to be an attempt to quell the rumors and speculation. However, the timing and the
nature of the incident have left many unconvinced. As one user pointed out, “Someone hacked you and deleted old tweets? That’s a new one.”
