The American producer and talk show host, Wendy Williams gained popularity after shebegan her career in radio and later used the popularity she garnered from her radio show, The Wendy Williams Experience, to segue into daytime television in 2008 with The Wendy Williams Show. Williams became a force after she spoke about things other celebrities were afraid to talk about. The talk show host and the bad boy records Sean
“Diddy” Combs have feuded for a long time, with Charlemagne Tha God claiming Williams was fired from her DJ gig at Hot 97 after talking about Diddy’s sexuality. Diddy has been accused by numerous individuals of sexual misconduct, trafficking and assault. Recently, a 14-page indictment charges Mr. Combs with racketeering, sex trafficking by force and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all three counts, the rapper and record producer faces a sentence of 15 years up to life in prison. Fans seem to have missed Wendy Williams after she took a break from television, with some claiming that she has been right about Diddy all along.
“Hot topics would have been juicy this week, I miss Wendy Williams,” one fan wrote, inserting a clip of the talk show host laughing. “ Wendy Williams, at times like this, we need you,” another fan wrote. “Today’s episode of Wendy Williams would have been the highest ratings she’s ever had.” Some fans dug out a clip of Wendy claiming Aubrey O’Day knows a lot about Diddy. O’Day has been vocal about her relationship with Diddy claiming she feels “validated” after Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, her former boss, was arrested on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution.
Some fans reminisced about the Wendy Williams show, claiming, “Wendy Williams would have dedicated her entire hour to talk about Diddy and his mess. God, I miss her. I hope she’s doing well.” Some joked about the situation, claiming they need Wendy on Zoom, it’s an emergency. “I really miss Wendy Williams being on day time television. She would have had a field day with some of these stories. I can see her now sipping and stirring her tea. No one has been able to fill that spot yet.” “Media needs Wendy Williams right now. Mama has been off air for three years and the public is calling her name because nobody gave us hot topics like her. That is impact. These new girls could never.”
A fan under “The Shade room” post commented, “Y’all didn’t appreciate her when she was being real. Now y’all begging for her. Leave her alone.” Another fan accused people of not “having this energy when she was in good health.” The 59 year old media legend has experienced multiple health challenges through the years, which led her to take multiple breaks from her hosting duties. Recently, Williams’ representatives said in a release that she had been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
