The “Pink Friday 2” rapper, Nicki Minaj defended her legendary boss, Lil Wayne after he was not selected to perform during the next Superbowl, despite it being in New Orleans, LA, his hometown. Kendrick Lamar was chosen instead of Lil Wayne and that has caused uproar on social media.

“One n**ga took a knee The other n**ga took the bag. He gon’ get you ‘n**gers’ in line every f**king time,” Nicki wrote regarding who is presumed to be athlete-turned-activist Colin Kaepernick and an unnamed executive. “Got everything in the world. Still spiteful and evil. Disgusting. Be happy, abeg. Go be f**kng happy n**ga! In rap business. In women’s business. When you got the politicians and the police, you’re good, though.”

“Denying a young Black man what he rightfully put into this game for no other reason but your ego,” Nicki stated. “Your hatred for Birdman, Drake, and Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne!? LIL WAYNE! The GOAT?! NOLA, what’s good?! Eminem stood firm on having 50 Cent come out. A white man. S**t [is] sad. House n**ger [things]. But it’s GOOD FI DEM! No loyalty? Welp. Then n**gas will keep sonning you!”

Fans accused Nicki of “doing too much” claiming Lil Wayne did not stand up for her when she was having a feud with Megan Thee Stallion and other rappers. Fans claim Nicki Minaj would not get the same support in case she goes through the same thing. Some dug up a clip of Wayne claiming Missy Elliot is his G.O.A.T rapper despite Nicki having the longest career in female rap.

“Oh, you think speaking up on injustice within your workplace should only be done if it’s for a person who would do it for you? I’m really the realest n**ga.” Nicki responded to a fan who said that Lil Wayne would not be a good headliner and stated “God will punish you. Mark my words”

“God forbid if Wayne was to leave this earth right now, the culture would be in mourning. That’s why so many ppl keep saying to give our legends their flowers while they are still around to smell them. Sitting around all day playing games with ppl life & legacy. God ain’t sleep…”
