Ice Spice and rapper Cleotrapa (Actual name, Cleopatra) have been going back and forth after they performed at Ice’s Y2K tour. Cleo accused Ice of mistreating her during the tour despite Ice assuring her that everything she needs during the tour would fully be catered for. She claims she was starved and made to carry her bags in the rain. She also claims she was made to pay for her hotel room and wardrobe.

Ice Spice’s manager, James Rosemon defended Ice Spice in a series of tweets. He claims Cleotrapa is a clout chaser, struggling to make hits. He spent most of September 3 dismantling the idea that Ice Spice did anything wrong. “This is what happens whenan artist’s team don’t manage their artists expectations when an opportunity comes in front of them,” he tweeted. “If you [are] not prepared for an opportunity and your teamNisn’t properly advancing then that’s on them.” Rosemond went on to say that rappersNwho complain about being mistreated are “corny” and should address their issues privately.

“You have to invest in yourself, aka pay expenses if need be for the opportunity. It’sNcorny. Someone gives you an opportunity and this is the thanks the person gets. Openers don’t have same things headliners has,” he wrote.

Rosemond claims openers do not have the same privileges headliners have. Rosemond accused her of resorting to petty drama to boost their profile, while Ice Spice has been able to maintain her popularity by releasing hit songs. “People know how to go viral for clout,” he explained. “And they go public with something that can be handle from a private phone call to speak on differences.”

According to Rosemond, Cleo’s manager has taken accountability and claims they are 100% wrong. Cleo’s manager supposedly took full blame for the situation as he pushed his artist to continue with the tour. James Rosemond Jr., who previously managed artists like Infrared and Sean Kingston, is the CEO and founder of Mastermind Artists, an artist management firm. Ice Spice was Rosemond’s first female artist when he signed her in March 2022.
