Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard have teamed up once again for an exciting new project. The two actors, known for their roles as Lucious and Cookie Lyon on the popular FOX series _Empire_, reunited on September 4 for the premiere of their latest collaboration, _Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist_. The event took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York, where the pair posed for photos and celebrated the upcoming release.
Henson, now 53, looked stunning in a glittery white mini dress with long sleeves and a daring neckline, paired with silver strappy heels. Howard, 55, opted for a stylish gray suit, complementing it with a light blue shirt and a brown wig.
In this new venture, Henson and Howard are part of a star-studded cast that also includes big names like Kevin Hart, Don Cheadle, and Samuel L. Jackson. _Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist_ premieres on Peacock on Thursday, September 5. The series is set in the aftermath of a major heist following Muhammad Ali’s famous win against Jerry Quarry on October 26, 1970.
According to the official synopsis, the story centers around a hustler named Chicken Man, played by Kevin Hart, who throws a lavish afterparty to celebrate the fight. The night takes a dark turn when it ends with one of the most daring heists in Atlanta’s history. Suspected of being behind the crime, Chicken Man must prove his innocence by working with J.D. Hudson (Cheadle), a Black detective from the city’s newly desegregated police force, tasked with solving the case.
The series will also feature guest appearances by Chloe Bailey, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Dexter Darden, Lori Harvey, and Sinqua Walls.
While speaking on the _Today_ show, Henson revealed that this project marks her first time seeing Howard since their time on _Empire_ ended in 2020. "It’s been so long since we wrapped in Chicago. It’s wonderful to reconnect," she shared.
