Kris Jenner has encountered a significant health challenge. Following the discovery of a tumor on one of her ovaries, the reality star decided to undergo a hysterectomy, as advised by her doctors.
On the July 11 episode of *The Kardashians*, Kris shared with friends Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick her plans to have both her ovaries and uterus removed. "It started out as just getting some ovaries removed, and then today I got a phone call," Kris revealed. The 68-year-old explained that her doctor recommended removing both organs to ensure her health was fully protected. "They found something, we're here to fix it," she continued.
As a mother to Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner, Kris acknowledged the emotional weight of the procedure. "I'm going to remove something that gave me six of the best parts of my whole life," she reflected. While she expressed to her friends that she was "fine" with the surgery, Kris admitted in a confessional segment to feeling "very sad" about this transition.
Kris elaborated on her emotions, saying, "I'm very emotional about it, because when you're young, you start talking about wanting a family. It was all we talked about literally for 40, 50 years. So, here we are now talking about it again, and it's the other side of the process."
Despite the sadness, Kris remains positive, knowing she can rely on her supportive network of friends and family. In a teaser for the July 18 episode of *The Kardashians*, Kris is seen recovering at home with visits from Khloe and Scott Disick. "I'm done with my surgery," she told the cameras, "And I feel great!"
