In a powerful Instagram post on July 7, 2024, Kesha addressed body-shamers with a defiant and self-affirming message. Sharing two photos of herself in a black bikini, Kesha wrote, "I didn't think in 2024 people still body-shamed but I am so proud of my body. She's been through a lot. She's torn her ACL on stage and finished the show. She's held my f***ing broken heart together."

She continued, "To those who think you're shaming me, you're actually making me feel very powerful. So, to you, I hope you one day feel whole enough to not tear other women down. In the meantime, hate me harder, b**** :)"

Kesha's post resonated with her fans and peers, who praised her strength and beauty. One fan wrote "Anyone who hates on your body needs glasses" while another said "Sadly, some people are never gonna learn to mind their own business. It's sad, really. Keep slaying!"
Betty Who commented, "I Love You Always Forever. F*** yes, you are so gorgeous," while makeup artist Jill Powell stated, "You are beautiful. Beautiful person, beautiful body and beautiful soul. Haters gonna hate because they are jealous. You are a light in this world."

Kesha's post came in the wake of her new single "Joyride," which was released on July 4, 2024, marking her first independent release since settling a nearly decade-long legal battle with Dr. Luke. This battle, initiated in 2014, involved allegations of sexual and emotional abuse that Dr. Luke has consistently denied.

In her recent post, Kesha reflected on her personal growth and resilience. She shared, "I just had all this mounting anxiety. And then finally I was like, 'F***. This s***. F*** this s***. I'm hungry!'" She has previously opened up about her struggles with an eating disorder, emphasizing how her journey toward self-acceptance has been long and challenging.
