Rick Ross and his team were involved in a confrontation with individuals from Drake's OVO Sound label at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver, Canada. The incident occurred after Rick Ross attempted to play Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us," a diss track that had ended Lamar’s feud with Drake and become a major hit and festival anthem.

According to a social media broadcaster named Akademiks, who posted footage of the event, the OVO team, described as "goons," confronted Ross and his team, leading to a physical altercation.

After leaving the stage, Ross was approached by a group of men angered by the song's play in Drake's home country. The confrontation escalated quickly, resulting in a brawl. One of the men sucker-punched Ross, sparking a fight that lasted several minutes. Footage showed Ross mostly avoiding the fight after the initial punch, while several of his entourage were beaten and knocked to the ground. One of Ross's team members was left unconscious and had to be carried away.

Videos circulated online showed Ross standing his ground during the melee, and his DJ, DJ Sam, was seen in a vicious beatdown. Although there is no evidence that Drake was directly involved, he did like a post on social media showing footage of the fight, which implied his approval of the incident. The post, shared by the Instagram account 6ixaktv, was captioned, "@richforever met the BC demons at his show tonight…He shouldn’t have played @kendricklamar hit record."

This confrontation is part of a larger ongoing feud between Rick Ross and Drake. Ross had previously targeted Drake in the diss track "Champagne Moments," mocking Drake's mixed heritage and alleged plastic surgery. The feud had also involved a cease-and-desist letter sent to French Montana over a feature, which Ross cited as a reason for unfollowing Drake. The hostility between the two artists has been escalating, with the latest incident at the Ignite Music Festival. Neither party has officially commented on the altercation.
