Chris Brown found himself stuck mid-air during a concert on his 11:11 Tour in New Jersey and had to be rescued by event staff. While performing Under the Influence" on Wednesday, June 12, the R&B singer’s wire act malfunctioned, leaving him dangling above the crowd for several minutes.
Despite appearing visibly annoyed at the technical glitch, Brown continued his performance, signaling to the crew for assistance. A ladder was brought on stage, and Brown was eventually helped down, though he exchanged words with a staff member afterward.
Fans had mixed reactions to the incident. One fan praised his professionalism, saying, Damn Chris said the show must go on now that's what you call determination. Others were less sympathetic, with comments like Leave him there and He should be stuck there forever appearing on social media.
The incident was captured on video and shared on TikTok and Twitter, showcasing how Brown and his dancers managed to keep the show going despite the malfunction. The 11:11 Tour, which started in Detroit earlier this month, has been successful overall, with fans paying $1,111 for meet-and-greet sessions that went viral online. However, this technical difficulty was a significant hiccup in an otherwise smooth tour.
This is not the first time Brown has faced concert drama. In April, he was blamed for Quavo performing to a nearly empty arena in Connecticut, a low attendance speculated to be due to Brown’s feud with the Migos rapper. This rivalry led to diss tracks like Tender,Weakest Link, and Over Hoes & Bitches.”
