
Additional exposure will come through CTV and Crave, which will simulcast select Tempo games throughout the season. The Toronto franchise is set to open its regular season on Friday with a matchup against the Washington Mystics at Coca-Cola Coliseum.
WNBA chief growth officer Colie Edison highlighted the importance of thepartnership, noting that interest in the league within Canada has reached new heights. She emphasized that the agreement represents a key step in expanding access for fans at a time when the league is introducing its first Canadian team. Edison also pointed to TSN’s commitment to delivering high-quality coverage that will help elevate both the WNBA and women’s basketball in the country.
The upcoming season, which marks the league’s 30th year, will feature each team playing 44 games and is scheduled to run through September 24. Bell Media Sports vice-president Shawn Redmond described the league’s growth as remarkable, crediting a new generation of standout players for driving its popularity. He added that TSN is proud to showcase the Tempo as they begin their journey in the WNBA.
While financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, other platforms will also carry select games. Prime Video is set to stream a number of Tempo matchups along with additional league games in Canada.
Beyond domestic coverage, the Tempo will also receive significant exposure in the United States. Nineteen of their games are scheduled to air nationally across networks including CBS, ESPN, NBA TV, Peacock, USA Network, ION Television, and Prime Video, reflecting growing international interest in the league.
