Tiger Woods is seen interacting with police in newly released body camera footage following his rollover crash on March 27 in Florida. The video, reviewed on April 2, captures the 50 year old golfer speaking with officers at the scene shortly after the incident. During the exchange, one officer asked whether Woods planned to compete in the Masters Tournament. He responded with a touch of humor, saying he hoped to play, but added that it would depend on the officers. One of them quickly replied that the decision was not in his hands.

The conversation shifted when Woods asked if officers could retrieve his golf clubs from the vehicle. When questioned about their importance, he shared that he had won 14 major championships using them. This prompted a lighthearted response from an officer, who remarked that there was a reason Woods is considered one of the greatest players in the sport.

At another point, Woods appeared concerned about being seen while speaking with law enforcement. Officers reassured him that the area had been secured and blocked from public view. One officer also commented that Woods seemed taller in person than he appeared on television.

The footage shows Woods walking around the scene at one stage. He later told deputies that he had just been speaking to the president, holding up his phone as he explained he was trying to get away from the crowd. It remains unclear whether he was referring to Donald Trump, though the two have previously expressed mutual admiration.

Additional clips show Woods undergoing field sobriety tests before being taken into custody. As officers placed him in handcuffs, he asked if he was being arrested. An officer responded that they believed his normal faculties were impaired.

In separate footage, Woods is seen seated in the back of a police vehicle with his hands restrained. He appears fatigued during the ride, occasionally wiping his face, yawning and looking out the window.

Woods now faces charges that include driving under the influence with property damage, careless driving and refusal to comply with a lawful test. The footage was released shortly after a Florida judge approved his request to travel outside the United States for medical treatment, following recommendations from his physician.
