Megan Thee Stallion, a renowned rapper known for her empowering persona, has expressed her support for Kamala Harris in her recent Billboard cover story. In the interview, Megan emphasizes the importance of voting, particularly to support Harris's presidential campaign. She voices frustration with people who choose not to vote, criticizing those who complain about political issues but fail to participate in the democratic process. “I don’t like it when I see people saying, ‘I’m not voting. F–k it,'” Meg shares with Billboard‘s Carl Lamarre. “What the f–k are you talking about? You’re going to complain about what you don’t like but you’re not going to help the cause?”

Megan stresses the urgency of voting, especially for those unhappy with Donald Trump’s presidency, arguing that not voting could indirectly support his re-election. “I think that’s very irresponsible because if you don’t like what Trump has going on, why even aid in him being the president again?” she adds.As one of the most vocal celebrities backing Harris, Megan has used her platform to rally for the Democratic candidate. She performed at Harris's rally in Atlanta in July, and she also promoted Harris during her headlining performance at Lollapalooza in August.

During the festival, Megan highlighted Harris's stance on critical issues such as women’s rights, a ceasefire, and high gas prices, reinforcing her support for the candidate with enthusiasm. “Kamala said she wants a ceasefire,” she told her crowd. “Kamala said she supports women’s
rights. And she said she’s tired of those high-ass gas prices … It’s Hotties for Harris, goddammit!”

Megan also shares her sense of optimism and inspiration at the thought of Harris becoming the first female president and the second Black president after Barack Obama. For her, Harris's candidacy represents a pivotal moment in history, marking a significant step towards equality and progress. “To be alive in a lifetime where a Black woman or a woman at all could be the president, I feel so blessed,” she says. This is what the future is about. We really about to get a strong, Black female in there. I feel like America needed a woman to come in here and put a
woman’s touch on it.”

Megan believes that Harris would bring a much-needed change to America, especially in the current political climate, and that having a strong Black woman in the White House would help to stabilize the country. According to Megan, Harris's leadership could provide the authoritative
presence needed to address the nation's challenges and improve conditions for future generations. “It’s been going a little crazy lately, and we need somebody to put their foot down,” she adds. “I feel like Kamala, she gon’ do that.”
