The 41-year-old reality star revealed on her “Khloé in Wonderland” podcast that she has been “contemplating” having a third child, possibly on her own, years after enduring very public heartbreak with ex Tristan Thompson.
The Good American co-founder shares daughter True, 7, and son Tatum, 3, with the NBA player. And while Khloé admitted she doesn’t “have the energy” for another baby, she feels strongly about one thing: sisters.
“I do think girls need sisters,” she explained, noting that her own upbringing shaped that belief. The The Kardashians star grew up alongside sisters Kourtney, Kim, Kendall and Kylie, bonds she has often described as foundational.
“Tatum is going to be fine,” she quipped. “But a girl needs her sister.”
Khloé also shared that she still has embryos frozen from her previous surrogacy journey. However, she acknowledged the emotional weight attached to that chapter. When she welcomed Tatum via surrogate, the process was overshadowed by Thompson’s paternity scandal involving Maralee Nichols and their son Theo.
The experience, she said, was filled with “trauma.”
If she were to try again, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum emphasized it would look very different. “I would be along for that journey,” she explained, rather than navigating stress and scandal behind the scenes.
Still, Khloé remains realistic. Implanting an embryo comes with no guarantees. “If it doesn’t work, maybe that means God didn’t want me to have another baby, and that’s OK,” she said.
The mom of two also recently shared that, ideally, she would want to be married before having more children. For now, though, the idea remains just that, an idea.
Meanwhile, True has her own take on the situation. According to Khloé, her daughter happily tells people she has “a sister in the freezer,” often skipping over the necessary context.
Whether baby No. 3 becomes reality or stays a thought, Khloé is focused on protecting her peace, and rewriting her story on her own terms.
