The fall resulted in a fracture and an intracranial hemorrhage, among other injuries, and required hospitalization. Henry acknowledged that the incident changed everything but said it also revealed a depth of strength she did not know she possessed. She described her greatest strength as choosing to rise even while still in the midst of recovery.
In her post, Henry expressed gratitude to the medical professionals who have supported her progress, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, nurses and physiotherapists in both Thailand and Jamaica. She said each played a vital role in guiding her forward and emphasized how meaningful it is to have people stand beside someone during their lowest moments.
The accident occurred on Nov. 19 while Henry was competing in the evening gown segment in Bangkok, Thailand. She was taken from the stage on a stretcher and transported to a local hospital. In the days that followed, updates were shared by the Miss Universe Organization and the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization, confirming she remained hospitalized, including time in the intensive care unit.
Now recovering in Jamaica, Henry says the experience has given her space to reflect. She believes the incident was not an ending but the beginning of building a stronger legacy and creating meaningful impact. She concluded her message by describing this chapter as a testament to resilience and determination.
